Privacy Policy
GrowthMD is built around one principle: patient data never leaves your device.
GrowthMD is a reference tool for visualizing pediatric growth percentiles and z-scores using publicly available WHO, CDC, Fenton, and Down Syndrome growth standards. We designed GrowthMD to keep the information you enter under your own control. We do not operate any servers of our own, we do not run analytics or advertising SDKs, and we never sell or share your data.
You may enter patient records: name or identifier, date of birth, biological sex, and growth measurements (height/length, weight, head circumference, and related dates). This information is used solely to display growth charts and percentile/z-score calculations on your devices.
Your data is stored in two places, both controlled by you:
GrowthMD (the developer) has no servers and cannot access, read, or retrieve your data. Your records never pass through any infrastructure we operate, and we never receive a copy. Sync happens directly between your devices and Apple's iCloud.
If you want to stop iCloud sync, sign the device out of iCloud or disable iCloud for GrowthMD in the device's Settings. Deleting the app removes its local copy; you can also delete the app's iCloud data from Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
If you enable it, GrowthMD can require Face ID (or your device passcode) to open the app. This check happens entirely on-device; no biometric data is transmitted or stored by GrowthMD.
GrowthMD Pro is an auto-renewing subscription handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Payment and subscription management are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchases.
GrowthMD is a reference tool and is not a medical device. If you enter information about real patients, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the app complies with the patient-privacy and data-protection laws that apply to you (for example HIPAA in the United States, GDPR in the EU/EEA, or LGPD in Brazil). Consider whether identifying patient data should be entered at all, and use device-level protections (passcode, Face ID, encrypted backups).
GrowthMD is intended for use by clinicians, students, and caregivers. It is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect data from children as users.
If we change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and its "Last updated" date before the change ships in a released version.

Yes. All data is stored on-device only using Apple's encrypted SwiftData framework. GrowthMD has no servers — nothing leaves your phone or tablet.
What's the difference between Free and Pro?
The free tier supports up to 5 patients with all 4 growth standards and unlimited measurements. Pro unlocks unlimited patients, PDF export, and Face ID / biometric lock.
Can I try Pro before paying?
Yes — Pro comes with a 14-day free trial. You can cancel anytime from your iPhone's App Store subscription settings before the trial ends and you won't be charged.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the App Store → tap your profile picture → Subscriptions → GrowthMD → Cancel. Your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period.
I switched phones. How do I restore my purchase?
Open GrowthMD → Settings → Restore Purchases. Sign in with the same Apple ID used to purchase and your Pro status will be restored instantly.
Which growth standards are included?
All four: CDC 2000 (ages 0–20), WHO 2006 (ages 0–19), Fenton 2013 (22–50 weeks GA for preterm infants), and Down Syndrome charts (ages 0–18). All standards are available on both Free and Pro tiers.
Does the app work offline?
Completely. GrowthMD is fully offline-first. All growth curve data is bundled in the app — no internet connection required for any feature.
